Since I can remember my family has gone to Peter's Chun King in Toronto's Chinatown area. When my sister and I were children, my mother would take us there almost every weekend. As a family we introduced it to friends, girlfriends and boyfriends, and other family members. I found out today it no longer exists. No longer can I savour their szechuan shredded beef. No longer can I devour their Cashew Chicken without regard for those around me. No longer can I sit and stare at it's awkwardly placed "Wall of Money" or autographed picture of Chris De Burgh (famous for his 80's love ballad "Lady in Red"). It's surreal to lose a part of your childhood like this. I understand that things change. Peter's wasn't supposed to.
